WHO WE ARE
Kaizen Consulting Engineers is a Building Services consultancy helping clients create safe, comfortable, high-performing buildings. Since 2020, we’ve driven innovation and sustainable design for diverse sectors across the UK. Our team members offer extensive experience and are dedicated to delivering tailored engineering solutions for our clients.
We are partnered with Verisys, a specialist commissioning and validating consultancy, and sustainability specialists Decarbonised. Together, we provide an integrated approach to the building life cycle, ensuring our clients receive superior outcomes.
Kaizen aims to reduce the construction industry’s environmental impact by promoting sustainable development. We assist our client’s goals in achieving net zero carbon whilst creating a future that benefits people, the planet and the space we live in.

MEET THE TEAM
Director
Chris is the founding Director of Kaizen and has been responsible for the business’s success over the last few years. He is a degree-qualified engineer with over 19 years of experience in the contracting and consulting sectors of the construction industry.
Chris is passionate about sustainable and low-energy design solutions and has worked with numerous high-profile UK and international clients.
Director
Leigh has extensive experience within the building sector, from being an apprentice electrician in his early years to a specialist consultant in building services engineering.
Leigh offers over 20 years of consultancy experience and has worked across various challenging projects in retail, commercial, banking, industrial, educational and private equity organisations.
Director
Phil is an experienced contractor who has spent years working for a significant UK MEP contractor. Phil works as a technical project manager on selected commissions in the UK and the Middle East and brings a wealth of practical, on-site knowledge to the entire team.
Phil has worked with many large, complex projects in Dubai and the UK and now brings his expertise to the Kaizen team.
Associate Director
Sam is a degree-qualified engineer with strong leadership experience managing a team of Mechanical and Electrical engineers. Adept at ensuring technical quality, coordinating project delivery, and driving consistent standards across all work packages.
He is experienced across both client-side and contractor design stages, with a proven ability to take projects from early conceptual design through to full delivery and completion. Recognised for building trusted relationships with clients, developing new business opportunities, and communicating complex engineering requirements clearly and effectively.
Business Manager
Hannah is our Business Manager, overseeing all core operational functions that support the smooth and efficient running of the company. She manages Health & Safety compliance, leads our ISO accreditation processes, and oversees the day-to-day running of the company.
With 19 years of industry experience, Hannah brings extensive knowledge, strong organisational leadership, and a solutions-focused approach to every aspect of her role. Her commitment to maintaining high standards across compliance, quality, and operational performance makes her an integral part of the company’s continued growth and success.
Associate Engineer
Richard is a degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry in both the Contracting and Consulting Sectors.
Richard has enhanced his site-based knowledge by combining both technical and practical skills to provide quality engineering solutions across a wide range of electrical systems. He has developed his experience across all sectors, including Education, Commercial, Retail, and Industrial projects.
He specialises in lighting design and in providing solutions that utilise natural daylighting and low energy technologies.
Associate Engineer
Raymond is a Mechanical Engineer with diverse experience across a range of sectors within the construction industry. Raymond is a qualified to degree level and holds MCIBSE IEng status. Raymond enjoys developing strong working relationships with Clients and other design team members in order to successfully deliver quality projects.
Raymond has a strong background in Stage 4 construction design, with a focus on technical excellence and delivery. Raymond brings a high level of proficiency in project management, consistently ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. He has successfully led multidisciplinary teams across all project stages, from initial concept through to completion, with a strong emphasis on coordination, communication, and client satisfaction.
Associate Electrical Engineer
Lee Fraine is the newest Associate in our Northwest Office.
With a strong background from CBRE and Hoare Lea, he brings extensive experience across various commercial properties, including offices, retail, residential, industrial, and data centres.
Lee’s expertise includes engineering design, through all design stages from concept through to construction, maintenance audits, PPM schedules, technical due diligence, and dilapidations surveys.
Principal Mechanical Engineer
Steve has over 25 years’ experience working within the construction industry. He has worked as a contractor and a consultant. He can use his knowledge and experience to provide mechanical engineering advice on all stages of the design, from concept to building completion.
He has worked on a range of projects including commercial, retail, leisure, education, offices and health care. With extensive experience working on heritage, educational and commercial projects.
Due to his time in the industry he has become experienced at co ordinating design and coming up with solutions to spacial fit issues. He liaises with the construction team and electrical engineers to ensure that there are no clashes and the build can commence.
Steve is passionate about incorporating sustainability within his designs, whilst ensuring that they are a workable solution for the client.
Assistant Engineer
Evan joined the business in 2022 as an apprentice trainee engineer and has been an integral part of the electrical department progressing to Assistant Electrical Engineer with EngTech status through the IET.
He is skilled in providing high-quality technical support to senior engineering teams. Experienced in producing detailed design drawings and performing essential calculations such as cable sizing, containment design, and lighting modelling.
Evan is also proficient in industry-standard software including Trimble ProDesign and Relux. Plays a key role in ensuring smooth project delivery by working efficiently under pressure, managing deadlines, and maintaining a strong commitment to engineering excellence.
Digital Engineer
Rob has over 5 years experience as a BIM Coordinator. After gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial & public sectors at all RIBA stages, my knowledge and understanding is now extremely broad.
He has extensive experience of using various software packages including, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Revit and Navisworks.
Intermediate Electrical Engineer
Téa joined us in July 2026. She graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a First Class Honours degree in Building Services Engineering.
She has experience working on a variety of projects, producing CAD and Revit drawings and supporting the delivery of coordinated MEP designs. Téa has also undertaken site surveys and works closely with BIM and mechanical colleagues to ensure designs are fully coordinated.
Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
Harry began his engineering career in June 2019 and brings valuable experience, and strong technical skills to Kaizen Consulting Engineers.
Harry earnt a Level 3 Building Services Engineering Qualification as well as a Level 3 BTEC and a Level 4 HNC in Building Services Engineering.
He is keen to develop his skills through hands-on experience.
Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
Since starting his engineering career in 2015, Aaron has developed solid technical expertise and brings and wealth of experience to Kaizen Consulting Engineers.
Aaron began his career in the building services sector, developing into a Mechanical Design Engineer. He has earnt a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment and an HNC in Building Services Engineering.
Aaron is highly capable with strong technical and design skills. He brings a strong work ethic, experience communicating with clients and contractors and is known for being positive, motivated and open to new challenges.
Trainee Engineer
Jack joined us in August 2025 and began his BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Building Services Engineering in September 2025.
He is enthusiastic and keen to learn all he can about the industry. He’s yet to decide if he prefers electrical or mechanical design.
Trainee Engineer
Oliver joined the team in August 2024 and began his BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Building Services Engineering in September 2024.
After gaining early experience across both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines, he has become a valued member of our Electrical Engineering department. Oliver works well both independently and within the team, showing strong progress in his academic studies and a keen enthusiasm for on-the-job learning.
He particularly enjoys Low Voltage Distribution, lighting design, and working with industry-standard software, and continues to develop his skills and understanding across all aspects of Electrical Engineering
Senior Revit/CAD Engineer
Matt has over 23 years of experience working in CAD and Revit. He has worked for several building services contractors and consultants across all major sectors. His work involves coordinating mechanical and electrical designers’ information, document control and integrated design with architecture and structural services.
Matt is an experienced 3D BIM and Revit modeller, skilled in multi-disciplinary coordination and project delivery. He is highly proficient in producing 2D AutoCAD mechanical and electrical layouts and schematics, consistently ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Known for his strong work ethic, excellent time and task management, and dedication to going above and beyond, Matt is highly regarded for his ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs. His technical expertise, combined with a proactive approach, makes him a reliable and valuable member of any project team.
Revit/CAD Engineer
Paul has over 15 years’ experience working in CAD. He joined Kaizen Consulting Engineers in 2023 from another building services consultancy firm where he worked across all major sectors including education, industrial, commercial and healthcare.
Paul is a highly skilled Revit coordinator with expertise in mechanical and electrical design, document control, and seamless integration with architectural and structural services. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Paul has a keen eye for spotting errors and ensuring projects are delivered right the first time. A true team player, he thrives in collaborative environments and consistently supports his colleagues to achieve smooth, high-quality project outcomes.
Revit/CAD Engineer
Deighton started his CAD training in 2017 and has gone onto become proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. He joined Kaizen Consulting Engineers in 2024 from another building services consultancy firm where he worked across all major sectors including education, industrial, commercial, and healthcare.
Deighton is an experienced mechanical, ventilation, and pipework coordinator with strong expertise in Revit and AutoCAD. He has an advanced understanding of BIM standards and workflows, leveraging tools such as Navisworks for clash detection, model validation, and multi-discipline coordination. Deighton also develops and applies Dynamo scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improve model accuracy, and streamline project delivery. His strong organisational and time-management skills ensure that project deadlines are consistently met with high-quality outputs.
Revit/CAD Engineer
Richard is experienced in the coordination of mechanical and electrical designers information, document control and integrated design with architecture and structural services.
Richard Chadwick has over 15 years of experience working in CAD and joined Kaizen Consulting Engineers in 2023. He previously worked at a leading building services consultancy, contributing to projects across major sectors including education, industrial, commercial, and healthcare.
Richard is highly skilled in coordination, editing families and parameters, and supporting colleagues in the office. Known for his exceptional attention to detail, efficient time management, and strong work ethic, he consistently ensures high-quality project outcomes.
Revit and CAD Engineer
Anthony joined us in 2026 as a Revit and CAD engineer. He started out as an apprentice CAD technician and has progressed into his current role.
He has worked on numerous large scale projects across various sectors, producing drawings and 3D coordinated MEP Revit models,
Anthony is experienced in delivering projects of a high quality to tight timescales and liaising with clients.
Cad/Revit Technician
With over 25 years of experience in the building services industry, Shaun is a dedicated CAD and BIM professional specialising in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
He has worked across a wide range of sectors delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical and public health designs. He enjoys solving complex design challenges, supporting project teams, and producing accurate, efficient solutions that help projects succeed.
Apprentice Engineer
Elliott joined us as an apprentice in September 2026.
He is keen to develop his knowledge and experience within the sector, and we are delighted to support him as he begins his career with us.
He will be getting involved in various projects across the business alongside studying at college.
